Is there any danger from daily intake of high dosage nutritional supplements? This is the question we want to consider with this post.

What we are talking about are dangers of daily supplement use by healthy people, like f.e. sportsmen aiming to build more muscle or to reduce their vulnerablility to injuries.

Or people following popular recommendations by Linus Pauling resulting in intake of up to 10 gram of Vitamin C, Ascorbic acid, accompanied with considerable amounts of amino acids like Lysine and Proline. Or people following advice of intake of 10000 IU of Vitamin D3, Cholecalciferol, or even more on a daily basis for up to a year…

Is there any danger in this kind of use of nutritional supplements. Are there any intoxications reported, any serious demages of users aside from problems with impurities in some cheaper supplements?
